Kassie M. Pinard Scholarship Fund

Kathleen M. “Kassie” (Scales) Pinard, 56, of Lunenburg, was born on November 11, 1967, in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Kassie was the cherished daughter of Rosemary (Devine) Scales and the late Donald B. Scales. 

A proud 1985 graduate of St. Bernard's Central Catholic High School, Kassie continued her education at Bay State College in Boston, where she majored in Retail Management. Her spirit shone brightly as she co-owned and operated Pinard's Florist Shop in Ayer for nearly three decades. Through her floral creations and warm presence, Kassie brought boundless joy and touched the hearts of the community, leaving a lasting legacy of beauty and kindness.

Before her time at Pinard's Florist, Kassie excelled as an Area Manager for the Fashion Bug Corporation, skillfully overseeing twelve stores across New England. Her leadership and dedication were evident in every store she managed.

Kassie was deeply involved in her community and faith. She was a committed member of the Bernardian Foundation, serving as treasurer and contributing her time and talents to support the foundation’s mission. At St. Anthony’s Church in Shirley, Kassie was a beloved CCD teacher for over a decade, nurturing the spiritual growth of many young minds with her unwavering dedication.
