The 2022 North Central Massachusetts Racial Equity Grant Program is focused on promoting more just, equitable and compassionate communities in North Central Massachusetts by providing grants to nonprofit organizations working to advance racial equity and social justice.
Recent events have highlighted the persistent and systemic ways that both innate and institutional racism have deprived Black, Hispanic, Native American, and other people of color from reaching their full potential in education, health, and economic development; and is depriving North Central Massachusetts of strong, active, and inclusive relationships between a diversity of residents.
Advancing racial justice and equity by providing grants to nonprofit organizations that work to serve and empower communities of color and address systemic and institutional racism.
