We are now accepting grant applications for our 2021 Environmental Preservation and Animal Welfare Grant Program.
"We are very proud of our region and cherish its natural resources," said Stephen Adams, president of the Community Foundation. "The Environmental Preservation and Animal Welfare Grant Program focuses on preserving and providing access to the natural beauty of North Central Massachusetts, as well as enhancing the welfare of domestic animals."
We are accepting grant applications through Friday, February 26, 2021, and award decisions will be finalized on April 22. Applications can be submitted here.
Applicable Projects
Some examples of projects that would qualify for this grant are:
- Animal rescue, protection and placement
- Animal welfare education
- Land or water preservation
- Habitat restoration
- Improving public access to natural places
- Environmental or outdoor education
Application Requirements
Applications must include what the grant funds will be used for, why the cause matters to North Central Massachusetts, measurable objectives and other details about the project. The CFNCM supports programs, projects and initiatives that address the Foundation 's goals and action areas, are executed by nonprofit organizations, and align with the applicant 's mission.
