Funding for staff time - especially for outreach positions - is one of the hardest things for us to raise money for, even though our Family Services Coordinator (FSC) spends all her time on mission-focused work. Most funders want to support bricks and materials, not the people who make programs possible. The CFNCM grant made a real difference by letting us expand our FSC’s hours so we could take on goals we simply didn’t have the capacity to tackle before.
