CFNCM seeks applications for 2021 Career Readiness and Educational Access Grants

We are now accepting grant applications for our 2021 Career Readiness and Educational Access Grant Program.

“The initiatives these grants support are more important than ever as workers and businesses position themselves for the post-pandemic economy,” said Stephen Adams, president of the Community Foundation. “We hope the Community Foundation can play a role in the region’s recovery by partnering with educational institutions and other workforce organizations that provide residents with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in family-supporting jobs.”

We are accepting grant applications through Friday, May 21, 2021, and award decisions will be finalized on June 25. Applications can be submitted here.

Applicable Projects

Examples of projects that would be considered for Career Readiness and Educational Access grants include those involving:

  • Scholarship programs for higher education
  • On-the-job training programs
  • Internships
  • Early childhood education
  • Adult and child literacy

Last year’s recipients included Mount Wachusett Community College, Fitchburg State University, Dr. Franklin Perkins School, St. Bernard’s Catholic High School, Making Opportunity Count, and the Boys & Girls Club of Fitchburg.

Application Requirements

Applications must include what the grant funds will be used for, why the cause matters to North Central Massachusetts, measurable objectives and other details about the project.
