Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts to co-host virtual financial advisor seminar Thursday, Oct. 29

The Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts invites interested parties to attend a virtual seminar on Thursday, October 29 beginning at 9 a.m. The session, entitled ESG Investments: The Role of the Community Foundation and Socially Responsible Investing, will cover material risks and growth opportunities investors should consider in today’s market. The conversation will also touch upon elements of racial equity and how investors are tailoring their plans to reflect race-positive ventures.

ESG investing is a globally recognized category of investment choices that blends environmental, social and governance factors into traditional evaluations. Many foundations, including the Greater Worcester Community Foundation (GWCF), one of the event sponsors, are now offering an ESG portfolio as one of their investment options. The third event sponsor, the Estate & Business Planning Council of Worcester County, likewise recognizes ESG investing as an emerging investment option.

The event will be moderated by Barbara Fields, president and CEO of GWCF, and will feature the following panelists:

  • Timothy Coffin, Senior Vice President of Breckinridge Capital Advisors
  • Jeffrey Croteau, CFA, Managing Principal of Prime Buchholz LLC
  • Stephen Adams, President of the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts

Of the event, CFNCM President Stephen Adams said, “Our organization provides people and organizations with flexible giving options that enable and simplify the achievement of charitable goals. This event will explore how to help clients align their charitable investments with their values.”

Registration is required to attend and admission to the session is free of charge.
