Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts makes a new round of distributions
– The Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts made $843,314 in charitable distributions from discretionary, advised and scholarship funds for its most recently completed quarter.
The Community Foundation, which has over 180 charitable funds that have been established by donors, said 55 of its funds made distributions and grants to programs in the area of education, health, environmental causes, and arts and culture programs.
“Donor funds are having a real impact on the quality of life in our community,” said Phil Grzewinski, president of the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts. All the awards for the quarter—177 in total—came from funds established by donors to benefit a community cause, specific nonprofit or provide scholarships.

Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded over $40 million in grants and distributions from over 180 funds that have been established by individuals, families and organizations.
