Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts makes a new round of distributions
Fitchburg, Mass. (Sept., 2, 2016) – The Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts made $1,254,328 in charitable distributions from discretionary, advised and scholarship funds for its most recently completed quarter.
The Community Foundation, which has over 180 charitable funds that have been established by donors, said 55 of its funds made distributions and grants to programs in the area of education, health, environmental causes, and arts and culture programs.
“The grants from our funds are making a real impact in the 33 communities we serve,” said Phil Grzewinski, president of the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts.
All the awards for the quarter—319 in total—came from funds established by donors to benefit a community cause, specific nonprofit or provide scholarships.
